Typical weekend in Sanremo: a panoramic bike ride!

The biking route along the Riviera dei Fiori Coastal Park is one of the longest and most panoramic biking paths in Europe. Only few years ago, this path was a train trail that connected the French Côte d’Azur and Genoa, a port city, and the rest of the Liguria region. In 2001 the decision to move the trail to the hinterland was made, in order to take advantage of the beautiful coastal land. To do so, all the towns located on the coast united in this exciting project, the creation of a 24 km long coastal path, for tourists and local to enjoy.

Since the opening of the first portion of the path in 2008, whenever the sun is shining, in summer and winter days, this beautiful green path comes to life, with people jogging or walking their dog, children running and playing, entire families taking a bike ride and couples taking a romantic walk at the sunset. This path represents what in Italy we call “la Bella Vita”, enjoying your time with the people you love, surrounded by the magic atmosphere that the sea, the sky and the good vibes of everyone around you creates.
